It’s all happening in the upstairs office this week! First of all, Darren was the winner of our Grand National Sweepstake when Neptune Collonges bounded over the finishing line – the first grey winner for 62 years (Neptune, not Darren), and the closest ever finish in the race’s 173-year history.
And even better news for Darren – his celebration was doubled when he found out that he’d passed his accounting exams!! He swept through his AAT Accounts Preparation paper in Woodford as smoothly as anything seen at Aintree! So we’re all really proud of him this week – and hoping his celebratory spending will stretch to cream cakes…
Also upstairs and making everyone proud, Sam’s doing a 100km moonlit bike ride to raise funds for our 2012 charity, St Francis Hospice. As you probably know, we’re supporting St Francis this year by donating £50 for every new client referred to us, so we’re thrilled that Sam’s building on this with his energetic ride. If you fancy waving him on with a fluorescent flag, it’s on 9 June and he’ll be cycling past iconic London landmarks such as Tower Bridge, Canary Wharf, London Zoo, Trafalgar Square – in fact through 100km of a deserted city of London! Maybe we’ll see you there…
