Office Junior – finance department

Tasks

  • Filing
  • Inputting invoices on a database
  • Sending monthly statements and emails to customers
  • Some credit control (you will receive training)
  • Matching credit card receipts to statements
  • Responding to email queries and telephone calls from clients and suppliers
  • General administration as required

No previous experience needed as full training will be given.

  • Payroll Assistant

    Tasks

        • Process and submit weekly and monthly payroll, including statutory year end returns and P60s
        • Deal with company’s payroll queries
        • Maintain and update payroll data
        • Enter variable overtime, commission and expense payments
        • Liaise with Revenue and Customs, where necessary
        • Issue P45s/P46s for all starters and leavers
        • Chase businesses for missing information, where necessary
        • Update all statutory payments as appropriate, such as SSP, SMP, SPP and SAP
        • Process P11D for employer’s benefits
        • Process pension contributions for automatic enrolment
        • Any other payroll duties as required.

    Key skill requirements

        • Knowledge of Revenue and Customs’ current legislation e.g. NI rates, statutory payments etc.
        • Good understanding of MS Outlook, Excel and Word.
        • Experience of using IRIS Payroll is advantageous, however not essential.
        • Knowledge of CIS would be an advantage, but is not essential.

    Accountant

    We are seeking an accountant with 2-3 years experience in accounts production qualified to at least AAT Level 4 standards or qualified by experience to join our dynamic team in Woodford.

    Tasks

        • Preparing accounts and management accounts for limited companies, Partnerships and LLPs
        • Preparing accounts and tax returns for sole trader clients
        • Responding to queries from clients regarding both accounts and tax matters
        • Attending client meetings
        • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
        • Manage own workflow to scheduled time allotted.

    Qualities

        • Qualified to AAT qualification at Level 4
        • Experience with accounts preparation from prime records to completion
        • Organisational skills
        • Accuracy and attention to detail
        • Strong verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
        • Thorough knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards
        • Experience with dealing with clients on a face to face basis
        • Knowledge of accounting software packages such as Iris
        • Strong computer skills, particularly Excel

    Salary guide £21,000 – £25,000, depending on experience

    Qualified Accountant

    We are seeking a qualified accountant with at least one year’s post-qualification experience to join our dynamic team in Woodford.

    Tasks

        • Reviewing accounts prepared by junior team members
        • Organisation and management of the work allocated to the team members
        • Provide input into the departments target setting process
        • Coaching and appraising performance of team members
        • Assistance with queries from clients regarding both accounts and tax matters
        • Assistance with the completion of larger client accounts, tax returns and management accounts
        • Building and maintaining strong client relationships

    Qualities

        • Fully qualified with a recognisable accounting qualification
        • Experience with accounts preparation from prime records to completion
        • Managerial experience
        • Organisational skills
        • Accuracy and attention to detail
        • Strong verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
        • Thorough knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards
        • Experience with dealing with clients on a face to face basis
        • Knowledge of accounting software packages such as Iris
        • Strong computer skills, particularly Excel

    Salary guide £28k – £34k, depending on experience.
