From Wednesday 1st July on-wards, employers can bring furloughed employees back to work for any amount of time and any shift pattern, while still being able to claim CJRS grant for…

Preparing Yourself For An Eventual Return Back To The Office
Working from home is something which been steadily on the rise in the last few years, but the recent outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) has seen many forced to work from home for the first time ever, with the government ordering people to only go out to work if they cannot do so from home. However, the prospect of an eventual return to your daily commute, sitting at your desk and watercooler chats, is on the horizon. So how are we…
*COVID-19 UPDATE – Furlough to finish at end of October*
The UK's coronavirus furlough scheme will finish at the end of October, Chancellor Rishi Sunak has confirmed.  At the No 10 briefing, Mr Sunak also set out how employers will have to start sharing the cost of the scheme. From August, employers must pay National Insurance and pension contributions, then 10% of pay from September, rising to 20% in October. Also, workers will be allowed to return to work part-time from July, but with companies paying 100% of wages. Mr…

They, and other self-employed people, will be eligible for a second payment in August of up to £6,570, Chancellor Rishi Sunak has announced. Bounce Back Loans – Your Funding Opportunities
Following widespread criticism of the availability and effectiveness of the Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme (CBILS), the government introduced an unprecedented support package to help companies and their shareholders survive these challenging times – the Bounce Back Loan Scheme (BBLS).   Bounce Back Loans are designed to help Britain’s Small and Medium Enterprise’s  (SMEs) get through the current government-imposed restrictions on business, and give them the resources to ‘bounce back’ quickly once trade is permitted to resume.   SMEs now…
What Is R&D Tax Relief And Why Do You Need It?
Research and Development, otherwise known as R&D is a tax relief that is awarded to UK companies who have invested into research and development to better the way they work, improve existing products and to develop new ones.   Why I Founded Nordens
Accounting 2 You

In November 2002, having sold our other business interests off earlier in the year, I decided to set up Nordens Chartered Accountants. The easy part was knowing how to do it, as I had established and built a smaller practice a few years earlier. The difficult part, for me, was not following the traditional accountancy path. Having run businesses, both successfully and unsuccessfully, I wanted to help business owners resolve their short term problems and work with them to achieve their longer term goals. Business has always been my interest and I love that I can help business owners achieve what seems like the impossible every single working day.
